What it is for

How to assemble monthly backlink packages from single links

A package is just a basket you refill every month. These are the three decisions that make it repeatable.

Fix the unit, not the outcome

Sell a number of placements at a stated quality band, such as Domain Rating and niche. Never sell a ranking. The scoping template shows the wording.

Price from the basket up

Filter donors by Domain Rating, traffic, language and price, then add them to the basket. Nothing is charged yet. The margin tables turn that into a retainer price.

Report from the order list

Every paid placement appears with its status in your orders. Copy it into your own template, as laid out in the client report outline.

Keep the vertical in mind

A law firm, a clinic and a webshop need different donors, different sign-off and different reporting. Each gets its own page, linked below.

Who it is for

Why a marketplace instead of a vendor

Most resellers start by white-labelling a vendor. It works. Then a client asks which sites the links sit on, and the honest answer is that you do not know.

Here you see the donor before you spend. That matters. Each row shows Domain Rating, organic traffic, referring domains, niche, language and price, so you choose every placement and can explain it to the client. Our do and don't list for white-label work covers what to hand over and what to keep.

The trade-off is effort. You do the picking and the writing of the brief. That is the part you charge for.

How it works

A month of delivery in five moves

  1. 1

Agree the unit with the client

Six placements, a DR band, one target page. Put it in writing before the first invoice.

  2. 2

    Filter and fill the basket

Use the marketplace filters, add rows, review the total. No charge until the next step.

  3. 3

    Choose the content mode

Automatic with a target URL and keyword, your own instructions, or your own finished article.

  4. 4

    Pay the basket

Top up the balance in the dashboard first. Placements usually go live within about 24 hours.

  5. 5

    Log and report

Check each placement in your orders, then send the client a one-page summary.

Checklist

Before you quote the first package

  • Know your cost per placement for the niche, not the average for the whole catalogue.
  • Decide the share of the retainer you keep as margin, then work backwards to the link budget.
  • Write down what happens in a month with no good donors in the niche.
  • Agree who owns the target pages and who can edit them.
  • Say in the contract that you do not control rankings.
  • Plan one hour a month for review, even on the smallest package.

FAQ

Questions resellers ask first

What are monthly backlink packages in practice?
A monthly package is a fixed number of placements delivered each month, billed as a retainer. Here you build it yourself from single links priced $1 to about $500, so the cost of goods and the margin stay visible.
How much margin should I keep on resold links?
There is no standard. Many agencies aim for a margin that still pays for their review time, so work out your hourly cost first. Our margin tables show three example retainers and what is left after time.
Can I put my own client branding on the report?
You write the report in your own template, using the status of each placement from your orders. We do not supply a branded client report, so budget an hour for building yours once and reusing it.
How fast do placements go live?
Placements usually go live within about 24 hours of payment. The article is written automatically with one clean link to your page, unless you send your own prompt or finished article.
Do I need a subscription to buy a package?
No. Pricing is pay-as-you-go from $1 per link. You top up a balance in the dashboard and pay each basket from it, which suits clients who pause for a month.
Can an AI agent build the basket for me?
Yes, over MCP with ChatGPT or Claude, or through the REST API with a Bearer key. The agent browses donors and fills the basket. Paying stays a separate step that a human approves.
Will these links raise my client's rankings?
We cannot promise that, and neither can anyone honest. Links are one input among content, technical health and competition. Sell the work and the reporting, and set expectations in writing.
